Ruaille Buaille Lucan’s Children’s Music Festival 2018

Ruaille Buaille 2018 at Griffeen Park returned with the Festival Big Tent as well a Mini-Music Marquee hosting a programme for early years, a lively Music Generation South Dublin Creative Tent, Percussion under Canvas, Whistle in the Wind music trail and a line-up of top notch musicians and artists. As well as a musical feast of great performances in the four marquee spaces, there was also plenty of other happenings in the park, including face-painting, circus performers, pop-up shows and food stalls. It makes for a great musical family day out!

In the Music Generation Creative Tent we heard Lucan Comhaltas, St Martin's Grúpa Ceoil and MGSD County Trad Ensemble performing. These children took part in an engaging workshop with Kíla's James Mahon and renowned fiddle player Daire Bracken.

A Sean Nos dance workshop faciliated by Aideen Burke saw the childen take a step away from playing the music and instead dancing to it!
